The G100+ GPS rally computer utilises the state of the art GPS technology and is a great competitor for someone looking for the ease of set up and use in a car. All other functions will still be available. When this is done it will operate from a wheel speed sensor just like a traditional rally computer. If you are competing in events where GPS is not allowed the Monit G-Series includes the ability to disable the GPS system completely. Note: if no wheel sensor is connected the unit will add the straight line distance where the GPS signal is lost and regained instead. When the satellite signal is restored operation seamlessly switches back to GPS.

Accurate measurements will continue uninterrupted.ģ.
#MONIT RALLY COMPUTER SOFTWARE#
If the satellite signal is lost the GPS= software automatically switches operation to the wheel sensor. In the background the GPS+ software continuously calibrates the wheel sensor against the GPS measurements.Ģ. While a good satellite signal is available the rally computer operates from GPS alone, eliminating the need for time consuming calibration and the error caused by wheel spin. By combining the signals from a traditional wheel sensor and the GPS receiver, the GPS+ system is able to maintain high accuracy operation in all situations. To address this Monit has developed its unique GPS+ technology. For most competitors this will rarely be a issue, but for those who regularly operate in difficult environments and require the high accuracy this performance loss might be unacceptable. When travelling through dense forest, tunnels, or around tall buildings the GPS signal can be degraded reducing accuracy. However, like all GPS systems, there are some limitations. Combined with an external roof mounted antenna the high-quality receiver is able to deliver accurate distance and speed measurements almost anywhere on the planet. The GPS receiver inside the G-Series rally computer is much more sensitive than that found in a smart phone or sat-nav device. For competitors that demand the most from their equipment the G-200 is the ideal choice. The main advantages over the G-100 are the addition of a time-of-day clock, average speed, fuel management system and handy stage recorder. The top of the range G-200 model has all the features required for the highest level of competition.
